Meeting with external guide along with our Project internal guide ( Prof. Harshad Wadkar ) to solve doubts regarding algorithm and to show System Requirement Specification document.

Prajakta	1. Tcpdump ( Store output in file and transfer this file from Linux to Windows m/c using Winscp then give this file as input to Wireshark and study)  2. Creation of process ( Using one thread )which controls all tasks  (Interaction with all parts of GUI, Identification of packet, Hold packet till response from Database )

Configuraion of Squid Proxy Server

After HARDWORK of ONE month, at last we were able to configure Squid proxy server which is on Linux OS ( RHEL ) for Windows client. So we will be using RHEL Operating System for our project.

Third Meeting

20/9/2010 : Meeting with external guide to ask queries, solve doubts and planning of next week's work.

Decided jsp technology to be used for front end and Sir gave us an overview of GUI.

GUI contents:

1. User (Admin): Log in and Log out
2. Policies: Deny, Allow, Monitor
3. Configuration: HTTP and Pop-up based
4. Reports

Here I am giving list of tasks, but they are yet to be completed....WELL we have sufficient amount of days  in our hands.....:)

Selection of BE Project

After giving 6 th semester exam we ( my team ) started searching for BE project problem statement.

Everyone was trying to get sponsership of good company...... For this we had given tests of many
companies. I remember we had given test for Symantec on  Saturday, 31 July 2010.

And I finally results were out after one week and our group was selected to do project with Symantec.

Everyone was very happy.....as we got a chance to work with Symantec. On 10 August 2010 we selected
our project statement as " Intelligent Adware Blocker "

Oh....no I have forgotten to tell you my BE Project group members name. So here are the names....
